Where else could you imagine spending Christmas in Florida? Walt Disney World is an extremely popular Christmastime destination and has an assortment of events and attractions that allow guests to celebrate the holiday season in a grand way.
A trip to Magic Kingdom is a great way start of any trip to Disney World. Guests can “celebrate the magic of the season at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a special event held each winter on select nights at Magic Kingdom theme park. The festivities are filled with live entertainment, spectacular fireworks and an oh-so-jolly holiday parade.”
A beautiful sight to see at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is Cinderella Castle which donned in beautiful lights. The Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade which includes an appearance by Santa Clause. Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season is the park’s festive, exclusive holiday fireworks extravaganza. Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse himself are also on hand for entertainment and meet-and-greet opportunities.
Unfortunately, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’s last day was December 19, but it’s never too early to start planning for next Christmas!
Over at Epcot, check out Holidays around the World, where you can see World Showcase transform into “an international celebration of Yuletide traditions filled with decorations and live entertainment.” At the American Gardens Theater, don’t miss Candlelight Processional, “a special holiday event held nightly at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot theme park as part of Holidays Around The World. The event retells the stirring story of Christmas with a special celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a mass choir.” The event runs through December 30, 2010.
Disniey’s Hollywood Studios offers The Osborne Family Spectacle on the Streets of America (No relation to Ozzy). The Hollywood-styled buildings are covered with blankets of millions of sparkling lights which periodically coreograph to match the accompanying Christmas music.
