I have to say I’ve been quite mesmerized by this coaster… or contraption. It’s name is Cobra and it’s being constructed at Conny-Land (website includes catchy theme song) in Switzerland. The ride was announced in the summer of 2006, so you can guess that it’s been somewhat delayed.
The ride, a product of the lesser-known PAX Company, stands over 13 stories tall and features one vertical loop. The top speed clocks in at just under 53 mph.
I’m not sure if that spike counts as an inverison or not. The ride’s support system is quite intricate. We’ll keep you posted on when this ride opens! You can view more photos of Cobra here.
It’s funny, someone made something exactly like this in NL a little while ago. I’m not sure if it was a recreation or not, but I don’t think it was. Weird!
