We tend to not cover many international parks, but that’s one of the many changes coming to the new Coaster101! The big news out of the Netherlands: Efteling is expanding in a huge way in the coming years. Out of a slew of new additions, the one of most importance to the coaster community is the Joris en de Draak (George and the Dragon) dueling wooden coasters. The two coasters will stand over 80 feet tall and will be themed appropriately. The park’s original wooden coaster, Pegasus, will be removed to make way for Joris en de Draak. This park brought us the incredibly themed Vliegende Hollander back in 2007, so I’m very excited to see what all they will do with this coaster. You can view some concept art of the ride below.
